Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The AI Skills Company platform ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. Employer accounts are responsible for the actions of employees they invite to the platform.

3. Subscription Cancellation Rules

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in GBP. The following rules apply to cancellations and refunds:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until that date.
• We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months once a billing period has started, except where required by law.
• UK / EU consumer cancellation right: where you qualify as a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you first subscribe. To exercise it, email support@theaiskillscompany.com. By starting to use the Service within the 14-day period you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once the Service has been fully performed.
• Downgrades take effect at the next billing period. Upgrades take effect immediately with a pro-rated charge.
• We may cancel or suspend your subscription for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or fraud, with reasonable notice where practical.
• On cancellation, employer account data is retained for 30 days to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted (subject to legal retention obligations).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including reverse-engineering, reselling access without permission, or using AI-generated outputs in ways that violate applicable law or third-party rights.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses large language models to generate development plans, lessons, and recommendations. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before acting on them, particularly in regulated or high-stakes contexts.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

8. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the account owner.
